Impact Washington will be partnering with New Vision, the Yakima County Development Association, on their Technology Roadmap Initiative, their new project to support emerging manufacturing businesses in the Yakima Valley. The Technology Roadmap Initiative (TRI) is designed to help inventors, entrepreneurs and established businesses develop new products and facilitate local economic growth.
The TRI is designed to accelerate and develop innovations with commercial potentials. Impact Washington will lead selected entrepreneurs and companies through the Eureka! Winning Ways Choices for Growth program. This process, developed by Doug Hall and his Eureka Ranch, helps find, filter and fast track ideas and assess market potential using the Merwyn Business Assessment. This assessment is a proven tool that provides early stage innovation sales forecasting, making it possible for determining market viability of a new idea.
Two initial orientation meetings will be held by New Vision at Perry Technical Institute for people or companies interested in being selected to participate in the TRI: April 6 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, and April 7 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Contact Tammy Everts, Business Development Director at New Vision for more information, (509) 575-1140.
